WAIT ON IT

Simone Season 2 Episode 7

Wait On It... It's hard waiting right? A crucial factor when waiting on God is the repositioning of our lives for purpose, there is an answer in the wait. Waiting on God and trusting in His timing is not as easy as we may want it to be, especially when we're looking for immediate gratification.

Pastor Pete Palmer, Said This, "The Things That Matter The Most Take Time."

I agree with this profound word of wisdom! "Don't Hurry God." Although, it may look much different from what He has promised you. He has a plan that will work out for your good, if you can just wait a little while longer.

"Wait For The Lord, Be Strong And Let Your Heart Take Courage. Wait For The Lord."  Psalm 27:14

Intro… Welcome to Catch The Vision Love The Podcast. I am your host Simone Shabazz. Today, we are changing the narrative and envisioning ourselves as already loved in Christ Jesus, you are an overcomer. Hello beautiful how have you been? How have you been doing life? Or has life been doing you? Good question? Right. Right now, we're choosing to wait on God. There's something to be said about waiting on God. ‘Wait On It.” Let's talk about it. Waiting on God takes self discipline God knows it does.So I want to know, what does waiting on God look like for you? Especially when so much time has gone by and it looks like God has forgotten about you. How does that play out in your mind? Let's use Sarah as an example if you will. Sarah was 90 years old when God promised her a child. Several years had gone by and there was still no sign of this promised child. So Sarah decided that she would take matters into her own hands and give her handmaid Hagar over to her husband Abraham for this promised child. Now God never told Sarah to give Hagar her handmaid over to Abraham for this promised child. Needless to say there was trouble in the land because Sarah thought that she could help God imagine that. In Spite of Sarah’s move God still fulfilled his promise to Sarah and to Abraham with the son of promise Isaac. I'd like to suggest that you Wait On It.. It may be hard right now and you might even want to throw in the towel but Wait On It. It may look as though God has forgotten about you but Wait On It, because God has a plan. Beautiful God hasn't forgotten about you; he knows exactly where you are. If you can hold on just a little while longer it will prove to be worth it. Wait On It! Here's what I have learned in the wait. While waiting on God to fix a situation, circumstance, or problem, he’s actually fixing you. He’s actually redefining our lives and redirecting our lives for a bigger, and greater purpose. I’d like to encourage you with this word. Psalm 27:14 reads. “Wait For The Lord, Be Strong And Let Your Heart Take Courage. Wait For The Lord.” Putting it all together is this, when God speaks a word it cannot return to him unpurposed. As in Sarah’s case and in our own, we often want quick solutions. But waiting on God teaches us accountability; it also teaches us to trust in his timing. Prayer… Lord, we thank you for teaching us how to wait. We thank you for teaching us how to trust in your timing. We thank you Father God for your unconditional love. Amen, Amen and Amen.
